After scheduling a time to meet at our 12th street office we will sit down to discuss in detail the Renaud-Peck custom building process. Typical discussion points include our building process, lot type, initial design criteria, preliminary budget and financing options. Detailed conversation points might include lot criteria, special features, community features, available sites, school district, zoning, topography, proximity to amenities.
Follow up meetings will address critical details such as the financing process, contingencies, lot selection or topographical survey (if we are building on your lot), budgeting factors and conceptual plan.
Renaud-Peck has worked with most local banks on hundreds of homes, they know us and our building process. Arranging and executing financing goes extremely smooth when they are involved, we recommend discussing your financing options with a local lender.
Once you’ve decided on the location of your lot, we will arrange a meeting on location to discuss what you’re looking for in a home, how your house might layout on the lot and and other important details.
Here is when you can explore all your options, use our knowledge and choose the design that is right for you from hundreds of home plans. We will go through and detail the most valuable features of your home and customize each one to suit your taste and lifestyle. All items will be explained in detail. We want you to feel comfortable knowing we understand what you want and having a firm estimate of the costs involved.
Detailed discussions will include layout, elevation, finishes, timeline and construction costs.
Our design team will take you through the entire selection process from the exterior to the interior. We will be there with you every step of the way for guidance and design help.
Once you’ve finalized all of your new home details, our team will prepare your purchase contract and meet with you for your review and signature. These contracts detail construction costs, contingencies, specifications, contract terms, deposit amount and payment structure.
Depending on the financing situation, your mortgage banker may be included in the discussion.Contract documents are forwarded to your financing partner for review and approval. Once all parties approve the paperwork an executed set of documents is mailed to the customer.
